A new world-class website design uses a modern technology platform that is easy to update
BACKGROUND
California Arts Council is California’s State Arts Agency focused on strengthening arts, culture, and creative expression as the tools to cultivate a better California for all.
THE
CHALLENGE
The California Arts Council legacy website was difficult to maintain and not accessible to people with disabilities. The previous design was no longer aligned with the prominence and mission of the Council.
THE
SOLUTION
The new platform, developed on the WordPress web content management system, is accessible to people with disabilities and optimized for mobile devices, and allows staff to easily update the website. A new mapping system enables legislators to easily see the impact of the Council in specific legislative districts.
